Indigo in FY 2020 chartered revenue of ₹35,756 crore. The following year FY 2021 saw a decline of ₹14,641 crore, a 59% decrease. This decrease was observed due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on air travel. The airline rebounded in FY 2022 with substantial growth of 77% increase in revenue, reaching ₹25,931 crore. This trajectory skyrocketed at a rate of 110% growth revenue, doubling to ₹54,446 crore. Indigo, in FY 2024, managed to sustain its highest-ever annual revenue of ₹71,231 crore, a 31% increase over the previous fiscal year. In FY 2020, IndiGo moved 86.9 million passengers showing market penetration through stiff market competition. Indigo Destination Flights covered
IndiGo handled 87 flight destinations, involving 63 domestic and 24 international locations in 2020. IndiGo’s airline 2024 operated 123 destinations, including 89 domestic and 34 international cities. This strategic operational expansion shows its capability to increase its connectivity within India and to international destinations across Asia, Africa, and Europe. IndiGo is increasing fleet size, to reach over 390 aircraft by 2024, enabling it to operate more than 2,000 daily flights.

Indigo Market Share
IndiGo in 2020 achieved a market share of 48.0% in the Indian domestic aviation sector. In 2021 it increased to 54.3%. This growth trend was maintained in 2022 while holding a market share of 56.2%, subsequently, it reached up to 60.5%, in 2023.
